Adidas Stan Smith Metallic Pack

Because a little bling never hurt anyone, here are two pairs from Adidas’ Midsummer Metallic Pack offering that’s frankly just about right as far as I’m concerned. Both Stan Smith models with snakeskin textured leather bodies, one pair is detailed with a drop (or two) of gold, while the other (which is also my personal […]

A Man Beat Up His Roommate Because He Said LeBron James Is Better Than Michael Jordan

Arguments about the NBA G.O.A.T. generally get pretty heated. While most people are firmly in the Michael Jordan camp, there are those who tend to lean in other directions. Yes, basketball did exist before Jordan took over in the ’90s.

At State College over the weekend, things got ugly when one man told another that he thought LeBron James was better than His Airness. That led to a fight, a pretty nasty one that resulted in felony assault charges.

According to police, 22-year-old Daniel Mondelice also made “terroristic threats” against his roommate. He seems like a totally reasonable person.

Mondelice was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and simple assault, police said. Police told Mondelice that he was not to return to his apartment after his arraignment, except briefly with a police escort to gather his things, police said.

Mondelice is due in court on Wednesday. Let’s hope for his sake the judge isn’t a Wilt Chamberlain fan.

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Tokyo” is Returning..Not Really

Screen Shot 2015-04-20 at 1.27.07 PM

Strikingly similar to the limited edition Nike SB Dunk Low “Tokyo” that first released in 2004, this upcoming 2015 variation sports a similar build, although not quite entirely.

While the previously aforementioned Dunk Low was constructed of an Off-White canvas material, this upcoming iteration of the SB Dunk Low however flaunts a smoother and soft suede or fleece composition in All-White. Additionally a graphic pattern has been added to the liner of this new version as well, which was obviously absent from the original SB Dunk Low “Tokyo.”

Rounded out with a White rubber midsole unit that’s adhered to a gum outsole, (the very same layout for the first Nike SB Dunk Low “Tokyo”), expect a release date of this upcoming sneaker to arrive soon. Stay tuned in to KicksOnFire as the story develops.

  Author’s Take

I’ll always be a fan of the SB’s but lately, I haven’t worn the style much. Too many runners in my lineup. Anyway if you’ve always wanted an All-White Dunk SB with a gum bottom, this should be an easy purchase.

The original SB Dunk Low “Tokyo” was only limited to 202 pairs so keep that in mind if you decide to cop this particular pair.

Nike Air Command Force “University Red” – The Release Is Upon Us

Nike Air Command Force University Red More Images 2

This Sunday, February 8th we will be given yet another colorway of one of the best retro basketball Nike sneakers that the Swoosh has to offer, and perhaps what may be the most popular colorway for obvious reasons.

Dressed in a University Red nubuck upper, this Nike Air Command Force should definitely be a must-have for those that love OG silhouettes. This high-top Nike Basketball silhouette is contrasted with White, Black and Wolf Grey accents as well as a speckled heel. The white inner lining and Swoosh are what really makes the shoe pop. Make sure to headover to your local Nike retailer on February 8th to cop your pair for $200.

Nike Air Huarache – For All The Ladies Out There

IMG_7658-2

The ladies have scored big this time. This go around, the girls come up on two dope Huarache releases that can hold you down at a moments notice. First, the Nike Air Huarache takes on a look that favors Flash Lime and an equally vivid Blue hue. White and Black are used in the framework to keep everything stabilized.   The second look leaves out the flashy colors and picks up where its partner leaves off with Black and White. This alternate pair keeps it nearly 50/50, hitting the heel, midsole, laces and tongue in Black and the rest of the upper and inner lining in White for a classic look. If you’re interested in picking up either rendition of the Nike Air Huarache then check with your local Nike retailer for availability.   Source: Overstock
